REVIEW // NEW PRODUCTS // MAC STUDIO FACE AND BODY // MAC BRUSH 168

MAC Studio Face and Body products were used during the makeup demonstrations I attended at the MAC Pro store in New York.

The MAC Makeup Artists stated that their face and Body product is the main foundation they use for runways and fashion editorial shoots. The reason for the popularity behind the product is the natural skin effect it gives. It is a really light product that enhances the skin and creates the natural 'no makeup' look. I bought the shade C2 for myself to see how my skin takes to the product and to experiment with it. I also bought the shade 'White' which you can only purchase in the MAC Pro store. You can mix 'White' into your foundation to lighten and thin the product or apply it over the makeup on your skin to illuminate areas you want to brighten. Going from using MAC Studio fix fluid everyday to using the Face and Body product, I have found it is a dramatic difference in coverage. I want to get used to using the Face and Body as I want to stop wearing such heavy daytime makeup. As you can see from the right image below, my skin appears healthier looking. My skin is naturally quite red which you can see coming through the product. I didn't use any blushers or powder in this photo as I wanted you guys to see how the product looks without.

I have been looking forward to purchasing the 168 brush which is an angled brush made from goat hair. The angle of the brush hairs allow for a really nice blusher and bronzer application. I bought the blusher 'Margin' as it has been suggested that it is a colour suited to many skin tones. I have found the colour to be very subtle and light in application, giving a warm glow to the cheeks. I think that it looks quite youthful and 'girly' which is very on trend at the moment.
