REVIEW // KIKO MILANO HOLIDAY COLLECTION

KIKO Milano's 2016 Holiday Collection features exclusive packaging by designer Ross Lovegrove. The collection has a wide range of make-up and skin care products as well as gift sets to create festive looks for the party season. Among the offerings are limited-edition products that are available for only two weeks.

Ross Lovegrove’s packaging design is wonderfully festive in aesthetic and brings a luxurious feel to makeup and the packaging. It has been described as "using shapes inspired by nature, technology and feminine sensuality. The uncontested star is the rose with its magnificent allure. The harmonious, delicate shapes give rise to an iconic collection celebrating beauty and holiday cheer." -KIKO Holiday Collection

I have put together a few items from this range to create a look perfect for a Christmas party and adding to your makeup collection. I really like that the range provides twelve stunning lipstick and lip pencil kits in six shades, of which you can choose if you want a frosted sheen or a matte finish. I went for the shade 01 Dreamlike Rose which is a lovely pinky nude with a matte finish. The lipstick doesn't have a fantastic smell to it, however it is a lovely and smooth formula to apply onto your lips and I adore the colour.

I also chose their 3-IN-1 Eyeshadow & Eyepencil in the shade 01 Wood - Gold from this range. The brown side of the pencil provides a thin dark brown pencil like product that can be used as an eyeliner or smudged into your eyeshadow. The gold end is thicker and a creamier consistency that can be used as an eyeshadow over the inner corners, centre of the eyes and even as a highlighter on the brow bone areas. It is a very versatile product. I would recommend you use it with other eyeshadows if you are looking to create a more intense look.

The 2-IN-1 Bronzer & Highlighter is beautifully designed to give your skin a warm glow. I tend to contour with dark matte products, however the bronzer section in this product has a subtle shimmer to it that I really like. I apply the bronzer to give my cheekbones definition and to add a healthy glow to my skin. I use the highlighter side on the top of my cheekbones, cupids bow and eyebrow bone area. I think this product feels and looks luxurious from the beautiful packaging to the finish on your skin. It is a fairly large product so it wouldn't fit in a small clutch, but you could take it in a larger handbag for any touch ups or to use the fantastically large mirror inside. I like how big the product is, as it gives it a lush factor. I have been using this product every day for a week now and I really love the results it gives me.

The Double Colour Baked Blush in the shade Lively Coral is smaller than the bronzer highlighter. It is beautiful to look at as the powder has been pressed into a marble effect with two shades blended in together. It gives a pinky glow to your skin with a hint of shimmer. I recommend applying this to the apples of your cheeks (the podgy areas of your cheeks that form when you smile really wide).

In the image below, I am wearing all the Kiko products from this post. I love the glow and contour the 2-IN-1 bronzer highlighter is giving my skin. The eyeshadow pencil looks subtle yet still shouts christmas party, while the nude pink lipstick compliments the eyes and adds a fresh tone to the look.

I think that this Kiko Milano range of holiday products are really beautiful and perfect for this festive party season. They would also make a lovely gift this Christmas for any makeup lovers out there you know (or just treat yo self). For me, they come at a good/average affordable price that I think is good for the type of products they are.
