I'm in love with these shades. I normally hate pale nude shades on myself as I tend to look ill if the undertone to the lipstick doesn't go well with my complexion. 'Honeylove' has the perfect peachy tone that warms my lips slightly while adding a natural finish to my makeup. I think this can easily be worn as an everyday lipstick and will go nicely with a darker eyeshadow look. 'Verve' is the perfect autumn lipstick that every skin tone looks good in. What are your opinions on the shades? If you have a darker or paler complexion than me, I'd love to see your swatches of the lipsticks and read your opinions on them in the comment section. Here are my lip swatches:
I've been really impressed with MAC pigments recently, as I have bought their 'Vanilla' and 'Bluebrown' shades before (see my blog post for more details on them). I think they give your makeup an extra depth that I haven't been able to get from using normal eyeshadows (from any brand). If you're happy with using loose pigment, then I 100% recommend you try them out. You have to take care when applying them as you can get a lot of fall out if you're not gentle. If you do get fall out, these shimmery pigments can be brushed away under your eyes and can add slightly to your highlight anyway! I tested this 'Rose' pigment out with a gold inner eyeshadow to see what kind of look I could create. It's a really beautiful pigment and one I'd recommend Makeup Artists to have in their kits for any arty photo shoots or party looks.
MAC as a brand get a bit of hate for being so expensive, but their products are really good quality, go long way and I have found that they are worth the money. In my experience, the Makeup Artists in any MAC store are friendly and helpful. So make sure you speak to them about what you would like, as they should help and recommend the best products suited for you. Let me know in the comment section below if you have these products or if you're thinking of buying them.
