PERMANENT HYPER-REALISTIC EYEBROW TATTOO

Microblading is a cosmetic tattooing technique that creates realistic hair-like strokes to fill in sparse or thinning and even create non-existant eyebrows. It is a great solution for fuller and healthy looking eyebrows. The treatment can be done on both men and women. After the initial treatment and top-up you can expect your beautiful brows to last from 10 to 12 months before another consultation is needed to maintain them.

I aim to give you an effortless full brow that compliments your face shape and frames your features. During your consultation we will discuss your skin type, hair colouring and desired eyebrow shape. My clients no longer need to fill in their brows with eyebrow pencil or gel after the procedure.

ABOUT PHIBROWS TECHNIQUE

PhiBrows is a manual technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to the facial morphology and golden ratio. The technique is intended for anyone over the age of 18 who wants to correct an aesthetic eyebrow issue or naturally enhance what they have. In order to successfully perform the treatment, the skin must not be in the regeneration process, i.e. it must not be damaged. If there is eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne, pimples or any damage in the eyebrows area we will have to reschedule your appointment.

Pain during the treatment is relative. Some clients usually feel stronger pain, while the other clients compare the pain to plucking out eyebrow hairs. Client’s who are on their period, or a week before, will have an increased sensitivity to pain, therefore it is not recommended to book the treatment then so please consider this when booking your appointment. Abrasive treatments such as peelings, fruit acids, chemical peels, laser treatments etc need to be avoided 1 month before and after your treatment. You will need to stop using face products one month before your treatment that contain retinol, salicylic acid, glycolic acid, lactic acid and alpha hydroxy acid and other similar products. Also, one month before the treatment, botox or fillers should not be used.

Pigment is applied manually on the surface layer of the dermis. Pigment is determined according to the natural colour of the eyebrows and hair. After healing, pigment can become brighter compared to the natural hair colour. Symmetry is calculated by using PhiBrows tool, as seen in the picture below. Strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hair growth in order to achieve hyper-realistic eyebrow look.

The treatment is done by using sterile and disposable tools, while pigments are of the highest standard (PhiBrows microblading pigments). Correction is done a month after the treatment as 10-15% of strokes are lost after the first treatment. The initial pigment will look darker during the first 5 to 7 days. 7 days later, it loses up to 40% of its intensity. Be patient and wait for 7 days until pigment fades away naturally. For how long the pigment will be retained mostly depends on your skin type. The oilier the skin is; the shorter pigment retention is. Sweating and sun exposure also affect pigment retention.

On average, the expected time until an annual refreshment appointment is anywhere between 8 to 12 months. If the skin is oily, it may need refreshing after 5 to 6 months. Healing is complete 28 days later and then it is necessary to add the pigment that was lost in the meanwhile. Post-treatment care makes 70% of total treatment success. If you do not adhere to the given advice, you can lose up to 80% of drawn strokes. Cleaning and applying the aftercare balm provided is really important. If you have any questions after your initial appointment or top up appointments please get in contact.

AFTER CARE

30 MINUTES AFTER

30 minutes after the Microblading treatment gently cleanse your eyebrows using water/wipes without stretching the skin. Cleanse the skin up until you find traces of pigment or coloured lymph on the wipes. We do this so that the excess lymph is removed in order to prevent scabs forming, which are otherwise devastating when it comes to pigment. Having cleansed the skin, you will then apply the protective balm given to you.

The protective after care you are given is called PhiCandy Balm. Which is a balm made with natural ingredients, formulated for skin care after the treatment. It’s function is to keep the skin moisturised to prevent scabbing and to keep the skin protected from external influences, such as dust, sweat etc.

During the day, this process should be repeated by yourself 3-5 times and before you be to bed, using the protective balm. Make sure your hands are clean before applying the balm. Using cotton buds to apply the balm is more ideal than using your fingers.

FOR THE NEXT FEW DAYS

After the first 6 days, rinsing is not needed because lymph will not be coming out any longer. However, applying the balm is necessary 3-5 times daily. The eyebrows must not get soap or shampoo on them while washing your face or having a shower as this can effect the healing and colour retention. Avoid anything that may cause irritation.

If you have extremely oily skin, it’s recommended only on the first two days to do the cleaning procedure, while in the following days you should not apply any other ointment or cream or makeup.

FOR THE FIRST WEEK

During the first 7 days, avoid all creams (except the protective balm), and any makeup in the eyebrow area. Avoid exercises that cause excessive sweating, sauna, facial massage and inhalation. Also avoid sun tanning, sunbeds, light (laser) therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors. (You should always avoid laser treatments over the treated area during the healing period (Fraxel laser, IPL) because they can destroy the pigment and cause inflammation. Faster fading out of pigment can happen if the client uses antibiotics or hormonal therapy.)

DAILY AFTER HEALED

Always protect your eyebrows from the sun by using sun protection cream (Please avoid direct sun during the first 7 days and apply sun cream only once healed).

Please note that the colour will appear darker during the healing process and will lighten once fully healed.

If you have any questions please email me.

Don’t forget you will need to book your top up appointment for 4-6 weeks after today’s session. Then 6-11 months after your top up.
