Microblading is a semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing technique that creates realistic hairlike strokes to fill in sparse or thinning and even create non-existant eyebrows. It is a semi-permanent solution for fuller and healthy looking eyebrows. The treatment can be done on both men and women. After the initial treatment and top-up you can expect your beautiful brows to last from 10 to 12 months before another consultation is needed to maintain them.

I aim to give you an effortless full brow that compliments your face shape and frames your features. During your consultation we will discuss your skin type, hair colouring and desired eyebrow shape. My clients no longer need to fill in their brows with eyebrow pencil or gel after the procedure.

PhiBrows is a manual, semi-permanent technique of hyper-realistic eyebrow drawing in which the shape of eyebrows is calculated according to the facial morphology and golden mean. The technique is intended for anyone over the age of 18 (anyone under 18 must be accompanied by their a parent) who want to correct an aesthetic eyebrow problem. In order to successfully perform the treatment, the skin must not be in the regeneration process, i.e. it must not be damaged. If there is eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne, pimples or any damage in the eyebrows area we will have to reschedule your appointment.

Pain during the treatment is relative. Scared clients usually feel stronger pain, while the other clients compare the pain to plucking out eyebrow hairs. Women having their period will have an increased sensitivity to pain, so it is not recommended to do the treatment then so please consider this when booking an appointment. Abrasive treatments such as peelings, fruit acids, chemical peels, laser treatments and similar should be avoided a month before the treatment. Also, one month before the treatment, botox or fillers should not be used.

Pigment is applied manually on the surface layer of the dermis. Pigment is determined according to the natural colour of the eyebrows and hair. After healing, pigment can become several shades brighter compared to the natural hair colour. Symmetry is calculated by using PhiBrows application. Pictures of the prepared shapes, as well as all other important information, are stored in the application, under the Treatment History section. Strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hair growth in order to achieve hyper-realistic eyebrow look.

The treatment is done by using sterile and disposable tools, while pigments are of the highest standard (PhiBrows microblading pigments). Correction is done a month after the treatment as 10-15% of strokes are lost after the first treatment. The initial pigment will look darker during the first 5 to 7 days. 7 days later, it loses up to 40% of its intensity. Be patient and wait for 7 days until pigment fades away naturally. For how long the pigment will be retained mostly depends on your skin type. The oilier the skin is; the shorter pigment retention is. Sweating and sun exposure also affect pigment retention.

On average, the expected time until a new refreshment appointment is between 9 to 12 months. If the skin is oily, it may need refreshing after 6 months. Healing is complete 28 days later and then it is necessary to add the pigment that was lost in the meanwhile. Post-treatment care makes 70% of total treatment success. If you do not adhere to the given advice, you can lose up to 80% of drawn strokes. Rinsing and applying the cream is really important. If you have any questions after your initial appointment or top up appointments please get in contact.

30 minutes after the Microblading treatment gently cleanse your eyebrows using water/wipes without stretching the skin. Cleanse the skin up until you find traces of pigment or coloured lymph on the wipes. We do this so that the excess lymph is removed in order to prevent scabs forming, which are otherwise devastating when it comes to pigment. Having cleansed the skin, you will then apply a protective balm.

The protective after care I use is PhiCandy Balm. Which is a natural cream, formulated for skin care after the treatment. It’s function is to keep the skin moisturised and to keep it protected from external influences, such as dust, sweat.

During the day, this process should be repeated by yourself 3-5 times with the protective balm. If the treatment was done in the afternoon and you do not have time to repeat 3-5 times before going to bed, then after the last rinsing, apply the cream on the eyebrows and wrap them in clingfilm to protect them while sleeping.

In the next 6 days rinsing is not needed because lymph will not be coming out any longer. However, applying the cream is necessary 3-5 times daily. The eyebrows must not get wet while washing your face or having a shower as this can effect the healing and colour retention.

If you have extremely oily skin, it’s recommended only on the first day to do the procedure, while in the following days you should not apply any other ointment or cream or makeup.

During the first 7 days, avoid all creams (except the protective balm), and any makeup in the eyebrow area. Avoid exercises that cause excessive sweating, sauna, facial massage and inhalation. Also avoid suntanning, sunbeds, light (laser) therapy, chemical peels, fruit acids, microdermabrasion, creams that contain regeneration factors. (You should always avoid laser treatments over the treated area during the healing period (Fraxel laser, IPL) because they can destroy the pigment and cause inflammation. Faster fading out of pigment can happen if the client uses antibiotics or hormonal therapy.)

Always protect your eyebrows from the sun by using sun protection cream (Please avoid direct sun during the first 7 days and apply sun cream only once healed).

Please note that the colour will appear darker during the healing process and will lighten once fully healed.

Don’t forget you will need to book your top up appointment for 4-6 weeks after today’s session.
